To use heat transfer vinyl, follow these steps:
Design your desired artwork or text on your computer using graphic design software, or choose from pre-made designs.
Mirror the image or text horizontally (or check if your design already requires mirroring), as it will be flipped when transferred to the material.
Load the heat transfer vinyl onto the cutter, glossy side down. Adjust machine settings and cut designs based on the type of heat transfer vinyl you are using.
Remove excess vinyl, which means removing any parts of the design that do not need to be transferred.
Preheat the heat press to the recommended temperature according to the vinyl manufacturer's instructions. Place the weed design onto the fabric or material you want to apply it to.
Place a teflon sheet or parchment paper over the vinyl design to protect it from direct heat. Turn off the heat press and apply medium pressure for the recommended time specified by the vinyl manufacturer.
Pressure, temperature and time may vary depending on the type of heat transfer vinyl you are using. After transfer time is complete, turn on the press and carefully peel off the Teflon or parchment while the vinyl is still hot.
Allow design to cool completely before handling or washing.
Repeat this process for other layers or colors if necessary.
Remember to always consult the instructions provided by the heat transfer vinyl manufacturer, as specific instructions and settings may vary depending on the brand and type of vinyl used.
